The Acromag AVME9480 is a VMEbus-compatible digital I/O module providing 64 general-purpose I/O points for industrial automation, data acquisition, and process control. Each I/O line is individually programmable as input or output on a bit-by-bit basis, configurable as eight 8-bit ports or four 16-bit ports. Up to eight I/O lines can generate VMEbus interrupts with change-of-state monitoring and vectored interrupt support for signal variations or 8-bit pattern matches. The module accepts input signals from 0 to 30V with adjustable threshold and wide hysteresis, and drives outputs up to 30V capable of handling inductive loads with full output readback. Selected I/O lines function as optional counter/timers for pulse, square wave, or event-counting applications. The module connects via a 96-pin DIN 41612 connector (P1) and supports A24/A16:D16/D08(EO) DTB slave data transfer with address modifiers 29H, 2DH, 39H, and 3DH. An on-board ID PROM enables automatic module identification within the VMEbus environment.
