The Aeroflex IFR S-1403DL-MLD is a Mode S accessory that extends the ATC-1400A Transponder/DME Test Set with advanced Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) simulation capability. This unit generates ATCRBS and Mode S interrogation signals, supporting Data Link, ADS-B (extended DF17 squitter), and Multi Level Diversity (MLD) requirements per RTCA/DO-181. The accessory delivers pulse and Differential Phase Shift Keying (DPSK) modulated RF signals for exhaustive transponder validation across legacy and modern avionics architectures.
