The Agilent 37718A OmniBER 718 is a single-box communications performance analyzer engineered for bit error rate and jitter testing across SDH/SONET, ATM, and Packet over SDH/SONET networks. Operating from 64 kb/s to 2.5 Gb/s (STM-16/OC-48), this portable instrument delivers multi-rate testing for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and manufacturing environments. The analyzer measures protection switching times in ring and linear topologies, supports concatenated payloads, and executes full PDH/T-carrier testing with automatic payload detection via SmartSetup.
