The Keysight 81607A is a plug-in tunable laser source module for the 8164A and 8164B Lightwave Measurement System mainframes. Operating across 1260–1360 nm, this Value Line module delivers narrow linewidth performance and low spontaneous emission (SSE) for high dynamic range optical component characterization. It supports bidirectional wavelength sweeps to 200 nm/s with mode-hop-free tuning across the full range. Absolute wavelength accuracy of ±3 pm typical and repeatability of ±1 pm typical enable precise spectral measurements of insertion loss, polarization-dependent loss, and dispersion. The module integrates with the Keysight N7700A photonic application suite for automated testing workflows.
