The Agilent/Keysight 86101A is a plug-in optical/electrical module for Agilent 86100A-series, 83480A-series, and 54750-series oscilloscopes. It simultaneously analyzes optical and electrical signals across the 750–860 nm window, delivering 2.8 GHz optical bandwidth and up to 20 GHz electrical bandwidth for high-speed fiber optic system characterization. The module supports eye diagram, jitter, and waveform analysis with 200 fs inherent jitter and 12-bit vertical resolution (up to 15 bits with averaging). Optical sensitivity reaches -17 dBm, while electrical noise floors are 0.25 mV at 12.4 GHz and 0.5 mV at 20 GHz bandwidth. An integrated average power meter monitors optical signal levels. Filter options accommodate Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet compliance testing at 155 Mb/s, 622 Mb/s, 1063 Mb/s, 1250 Mb/s, and 2488 Mb/s data rates.
