The Agilent/Keysight E1364A is a 16-channel Form C (SPDT) switch module engineered for signal routing and control in VXI-based automated test systems. Built with latching armature relays, it maintains switch positions without power, making it ideal for switching, scanning, and digital output applications. Each channel independently routes signals between normally closed, normally open, and common terminals while supporting configurable +5V or +12V output to external devices.
Technical Specifications
The E1364A operates at maximum voltages of 250 V DC or AC RMS (354 V AC peak) per switch. Continuous switching capacity reaches 1 A DC/AC RMS at up to 40 W per channel, with module-level capacity of 320 W DC or 320 VA AC. Closed channel resistance measures <1.5 Ω typical, degrading to <3.5 Ω at end of life. Thermal offset stays within 7 µV DC for precision measurement applications.
Signal integrity is maintained across frequencies up to 10 MHz (–3 dB bandwidth). Channel-to-channel crosstalk measures <–80 dB below 100 kHz, reducing to <–30 dB near 10 MHz. Closed channel capacitance remains <20 pF (channel-to-channel and channel-to-common). Insulation resistance exceeds 10^7 Ω at 40°C/95% RH, rising above 10^8 Ω at 25°C/40% RH.
