The Agilent/Keysight N8488A is an average thermocouple power sensor engineered for precise power measurements from 10 MHz to 67 GHz. It delivers 1% accuracy across a dynamic range spanning -35 dBm to +20 dBm in a single measuring head, eliminating the need for multiple sensors. Built-in EEPROM automatically loads calibration factors into compatible power meters, removing manual entry overhead. Linearity performance reaches ±0.52% from -1 dBm to +15 dBm and ±0.80% from +15 dBm to +20 dBm. The sensor features low noise below 114 nW, excellent SWR between 1.05 and 1.34 across frequency bands, and integrated temperature compensation for operation between 0 and 55 °C. A 1.85 mm RF connector and compact form factor (38 mm × 30 mm × 121 mm, 0.162 kg) enable integration into space-constrained test setups. NIST-traceable calibration ensures measurement integrity for demanding metrology applications.
