The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 40 is a compact AC drive engineered for motor speed control across industrial and commercial equipment. It delivers dual control modes—Volts per Hertz (V/Hz) and Sensorless Vector Control (SVC)—enabling flexible operation across diverse load types. Available in power ratings from 0.2 to 11 kW (0.25 to 15 HP) with input voltage classes spanning 120V AC, 240V AC, 480V AC, and 600V AC, the drive accommodates single-phase and three-phase configurations. An integral keypad with speed potentiometer and CopyCat function simplifies commissioning and parameter transfer between units.
Technical Specifications
Power & Voltage: 0.2–11 kW across 120V AC, 240V AC, 480V AC, and 600V AC input classes. Single-phase and three-phase input options available by model. Output frequency range 50–60 Hz nominal. Adjustable PWM frequency up to 16 kHz. Input voltage tolerance ±10%. Overload capacity rated at 150% for 60 seconds or 200% for 3 seconds.
