The Anritsu 68187C is a synthesized signal generator delivering precise RF and microwave signals across 10 MHz to 60 GHz with excellent spectral purity and flexible modulation. It serves R&D, automated test equipment, and advanced wireless system validation—including communications components, electronic warfare, and radar testing.

Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 60 GHz standard; optional extension to 0.1 Hz available.

Output Power: Guaranteed leveled power to +17 dBm up to 20 GHz. Typical output without attenuator: +15 to +20 dBm. With attenuator: –120 dBm. With electronic attenuator: –140 dBm. Minimum output: –125 dBm. Resolution: 0.01 dB steps.

Frequency Resolution: 100.0 mHz standard; optional 0.1 Hz resolution.

Phase Noise: Ultra-low SSB phase noise with spurious levels below –60 dBc.

Switching Time: Less than 5 ms for steps below 100 MHz; typical maximum 15 ms + 1 ms/GHz step size, or less than 40 ms.

Frequency Accuracy: Equivalent to internal or external 10 MHz time base.

Modulation: AM, FM, external FM (locked/unlocked), external AM (log/linear). Seven internal modulation waveforms including Gaussian noise; optional user-defined waveforms. Advanced internal pulse modulation for single and multiple pulses; internal pulse generator for moving target, radar, and fading simulation.

Sweep Modes: Digital frequency, digital power, analog, step, manual, list, and alternate sweep (alternates between two ranges with different power levels). Step sweep time variable from 1 ms/step to 99 seconds/step. Fixed rate step sweep: 20 ms/step to 99 seconds/step.

CW Mode: Twenty independent presettable frequencies (F0–F9, M0–M9).

Master/Slave: Synchronous sweeping of two synthesizers for mixer and frequency converter measurements.
