The Anritsu 69045A is a synthesized CW generator delivering clean, phase-locked signals from 500 MHz to 20 GHz. Built for RF component testing, receiver calibration, and system validation across industrial, research, and production environments, it combines front-panel control with full remote operation via GPIB. The instrument generates discrete CW frequencies and supports stepped and alternate sweep modes with user-configurable dwell times and switching performance.
Technical Specifications
Frequency Coverage: 500 MHz to 20 GHz with 1 kHz resolution (0.1 Hz with Option 11).
Signal Purity: Harmonic and harmonic-related spurious signals measure typically better than -50 dBc across 500 MHz to 2.2 GHz.
Frequency Stability (Internal Timebase):
• Aging: Less than 2 × 10⁻⁸ per day (less than 2 × 10⁻¹⁰ per day with Option 16)
• Temperature: Less than 2 × 10⁻⁸ per °C over 0 °C to 55 °C (less than 2 × 10⁻¹⁰ per °C with Option 16)
Output: 50 Ω impedance. External 10 MHz reference input and 0.5 V p-p reference output (AC coupled, 50 Ω) available via rear-panel BNC connectors.
Sweep Performance: Step switching time is less than 15 ms + 1 ms/GHz step size or less than 40 ms, whichever is lower. Dwell time per step ranges from 1 ms to 99 seconds.
