### Technical Specifications

**Vertical Calibration (Y-Axis)**

* **DC Voltage Output:** Provides an accurate DC voltage, positive, negative, or zero, for amplitude calibration of the Y-amplifier.
* **Square Wave Output:** A 1kHz positive-going square wave output is available for Y-amplifier amplitude calibration.
* **Voltage Range:** Calibrated in 1, 2, 5 steps from 10 microvolts per division (µV/div) to 20 volts per division (V/div).
* **Multiplier Functions:** Push-button switches provide X1, X3, X4, X5, X6, X8, or X10 multiplication of the output signal. This allows for display expansion to suit CRT graticule markings and achieve a suitable picture size.
* **Deviation Ranges:** Available deviation ranges of ±3% and ±10%.
* **Accuracy:** EMF accuracy is better than ±0.25%. For ranges above 50mV, a five-minute settling time is required for accuracy better than ±50µV.
* **Reference Source:** Utilizes a high-quality zener diode for voltage reference. Time constant of the zener diode is 0.002% per °C, with an overall stability better than 0.01% per °C.
* **Amplitude Variable Range:** Continuously variable over the range of 200 to 250mV (into 50 ohms).

**Horizontal Calibration (X-Axis) and Time Base**

* **Time Base Output:** Two output sockets provide normal or HF (High Frequency) time base signals.
* **Time Range (Normal):** Output ranges from 100 nanoseconds per division (ns/div) to 0.5 seconds per division (s/div) in 1, 2, 5 steps.
* **Multiplier Functions (Normal):** Associated push buttons provide multiplication of X1, X2, X5, or X10 to enable display expansion to suit oscilloscope CRT graticules.
* **Time Range (HF):** Provides faster speeds of 10ns, 20ns, and 50ns.
* **Waveform (HF Range):** The HF time base output is a sinewave. No multiplication or deviation facilities are provided on this range.
* **Trigger Circuit Testing:** A 50/60Hz sinewave output of variable amplitude is available for checking trigger circuits at line frequency. Amplitude is continuously variable over the range 200 to 250mV.

**Triggering Circuits**

* **Line Frequency Sine Wave:** A 50/60Hz sinewave output is available for checking trigger circuits at line frequency. The amplitude is continuously variable over the range of 200 to 250mV (into 50 ohms).

**Waveform Outputs**

* **Pulses:** For time calibration, spike pulses are provided with fast rise times. The width at the base of each pulse is generally 10% of the pulse interval.

* **Power Requirements:** Operates from mains supplies of 50/60Hz, with selectable voltages of 100/125V and 200/250V RMS.
* **Power Consumption:** Approximately 17W.
