The MPB Communications EBS-4015/EFA is a combined erbium-doped fiber broadband source and power amplifier designed for high-power optical test and measurement applications. The unit integrates an amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) source with a dedicated power amplifier stage, delivering spectrally-shaped output across the C-band and extended wavelength range. This 1RU rack-mounted instrument addresses demanding requirements in DWDM system characterization, optical component testing, and transmission link analysis where broadband, low-ripple performance is critical.
