The EXFO IQS-8120NG SONET/SDH Analyzer is a modular test instrument for optical transport network qualification. It delivers end-to-end testing of SONET, SDH, and OTN infrastructures up to 2.7 Gbit/s, with native support for services including Ethernet-over-SONET/SDH (EoS), Generic Framing Procedure (GFP), Virtual Concatenation (VCAT), and Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (LCAS). As part of EXFO’s IQS-600 Integrated Qualification System, the analyzer scales across diverse testing requirements while maintaining field-grade performance and integration with complementary modules.

– Typical Applications
• SONET/SDH network commissioning and maintenance
• Ethernet service transport validation over legacy optical infrastructure
• OTN signal integrity verification
• Service activation and troubleshooting in carrier-grade networks
– Compatibility & Integration
The IQS-8120NG integrates with EXFO’s IQS-600 platform and interconnects with external test modules such as the IQS-8510B Packet Blazer via dual Ethernet ports, enabling multi-layer service validation.
