It converts high-voltage signals into proportional low-voltage outputs suitable for differential voltmeters and null-type potentiometers, making it essential for characterizing power distribution systems and high-voltage equipment. The instrument features precision wirewound resistors with low temperature coefficient and achieves 0.01% division ratio accuracy within the 18°C to 28°C operating band.
