The Gnubi EPX series is a modular telecommunications testing platform comprising specialized signal generation, monitoring, and timing modules designed for SONET/SDH and DS1/DS3 network validation. Individual EPX modules integrate into Gnubi EPX16 chassis to deliver multi-channel testing, remote web-based control, and concurrent test session management across demanding datacom environments.

EPX 100 — Clock Source Module
• Provides internal, BITS-timed, and external clock sources for EPX test systems
• External clock output for triggering external test devices
• BITS output for synchronizing multiple units from single BITS source
• Serves as timing reference for frequency counter measurements

EPX 200 — DS1 Signal Generator and Monitor
• Configurable as Dual Transceiver, Quad Transmitter, or Quad Receiver
• Add/Drop capability with simultaneous generation and monitoring of DS1 signals
• Forms 28-channel DS1 cross-connect when used with additional EPX16 modules
• Remote operation via web browser or custom software interface

EPX 400 — OC-48/STM-16 Transmitter
• OC-48 or STM-16 signal generation with selectable payload mappings
• Protocol switching between SONET and SDH without system power-down
• Compatible with all Gnubi chassis models

EPX 500 — OC-48/STM-16 Receiver
• Full-featured SONET/SDH payload monitoring and overhead capture
• Alarm history, error counts and ratios, live traffic monitoring
• SONET performance statistics, service disruption data, trace message capture
• Pointer event counting and K1/K2 byte value/message monitoring
• Supports both OC-48 and STM-16 signal monitoring with selectable payload configurations
