The HP 37717C Communications Performance Analyzer is a field-portable, multi-rate test set engineered for installation, maintenance, and commissioning of PDH/SDH/SONET and ATM transport networks. It delivers bit error rate and jitter testing across rates to 622 Mb/s, with modular architecture supporting flexible configuration and upgrade paths. A large color display, integral floppy disk drive, and optional 80-column graphics printer provide on-site data logging and results export. Remote control via LAN, GPIB, RS-232-C, and parallel interfaces enables integration into automated test environments.
