The HP/Agilent 8495G is a programmable RF attenuator for precise signal level control in test systems operating up to 4 GHz. Maximum attenuation reaches 70 dB in 10 dB discrete steps, with attenuation accuracy of ±0.5 dB (or 3% of setting) up to 40 dB, and ±1.5 dB (or 5%) above 40 dB. Insertion loss stays below 0.5 dB across its frequency range. The unit handles 3 Watts average power and 100 Watts peak power at 0.1% duty cycle with 1 µs pulse width.
