The HP/Agilent 8753ET is a 3 GHz vector network analyzer engineered for transmission and reflection characterization of RF and microwave components. It delivers forward magnitude and phase measurements across a 300 kHz to 3 GHz frequency range with 1 Hz resolution and 100–110 dB system dynamic range. The instrument integrates a dedicated T/R test set with dual 50 Ohm Type-N female ports, supporting filter design, antenna measurement, cable testing, and general S-parameter analysis.
Source power spans −20 dBm to +5 dBm standard, or −85 dBm to +10 dBm with Option 004 step attenuator. Power flatness remains below ±0.5 dB with 0.01 dB resolution. Four display channels provide simultaneous measurement visualization. The 8753ET accepts multiple calibration techniques including LRM, TRL, adapter-removal, and enhanced response correction. Optional extensions include 6 GHz frequency operation (Option 006), time-domain analysis (Option 010), and harmonics measurement (Option 002).
