The Ixia LM1000GBIC is a 2-port Gigabit Ethernet load module engineered for the 400T and 1600T network testing platforms. Each port operates at wire speed with 1000 Mbps data rate and includes 4 MB capture buffer per port, delivering simultaneous traffic generation and analysis for device validation across Layer 2–3 protocols. The module accepts GBIC transceiver slots, supporting flexible fiber or copper connectivity options.
The LM1000GBIC generates valid, undersized, oversized, and error packets with up to 256 streams per port and 32,000 flows, enabling multilayer protocol testing and performance characterization of network equipment. Its modular design installs directly into compatible Ixia chassis without requiring external connections or configuration overhead.

– Compatibility & Integration
The LM1000GBIC is purpose-built for Ixia 400T and 1600T chassis. Installation requires a compatible load module slot within these platforms. GBIC transceiver selection determines the physical media—single-mode fiber, multimode fiber, or copper—without module modification.
