The Ixia LM1000T is a Gigabit Ethernet load module for the Ixia 1600 chassis, delivering wire-speed Layer 2–3 traffic generation and analysis. Each module provides two 1000-BaseT RJ-45 ports with 4 MB buffer capacity, supporting up to 256 streams per port or 32,000 flows with millions of unique packets per stream. The module generates valid, undersized (down to 12 bytes), oversized (up to 65,536 bytes), and error packets—including alignment, dribble bit, bad CRC, and no-CRC variants. Address fields support incrementing, decrementing, or random MAC and IP configurations for simultaneous Layer 2 and Layer 3 testing.
