The JDS Uniphase Dual Channel SWS-CD Receiver integrates a CD-Controller and two CD-Detectors for advanced optical signal processing in wavelength-dependent characterization of passive optical components. This module serves as a key element within the SWS2000 Swept Wavelength System, delivering precise control and dual-channel detection capabilities. The integrated CD-Controller functions as an analog intensity modulator designed for microwave fiberoptic links, operating from DC to 20 GHz with low drive voltage, low optical insertion loss, and high optical power handling. Paired with an RF modulator, the receiver enables measurement of Group Delay and Differential Group Delay, while the complete SWS2000 system calculates CD, PDL, GD, and DGD as a function of wavelength or frequency.
