The JDS Uniphase SA-Z561 is an analog intensity modulator engineered for microwave fiber optic links and high-frequency optical signal transmission. Built on Advanced Photonic Engineering (APE) optical waveguides and velocity-matched transmission line technology, it delivers high modulation efficiency with minimal optical insertion loss and supports high optical power operation across DC to 20 GHz and beyond. ## Technical Specifications This intensity modulator operates across DC to 20 GHz and beyond, with wavelength models available for 1300 nm and 1550 nm bands. Maximum optical insertion loss is 5.0 dB for AM-130/AM-150 configurations. On/off extinction ratio reaches a minimum of 20 dB, ensuring sharp modulation depth.
