Equipment info

The JTAG Technologies JT2149 TAP Pod is a modular boundary-scan interface that connects JTAG controllers to target boards for test access port (TAP) operations and in-system programming. The unit transmits standard TAP signals—TDI, TDO, TMS, TCK, and TRST—alongside control signals for AutoWrite and VPP_enable functions. It integrates a flash Read/Busy line monitor and two user-configurable outputs (User0 and User1) for custom test operations. Available as a standalone module or as part of the JT2147 QuadPod system, the JT2149 reduces maintenance costs through field-replaceable modular construction.

## Technical Specifications

**Connectors and Signal Distribution**
• 20-way 0.1″ IDC connector: 10 dynamic signals (TAP, AutoWrite, VPP_enable, User0, User1), 9 signal grounds, 5V supply
• 8-way SIL IDC connector: 4 static I/O lines, 4 signal grounds
• 0.05″ 26-way front-edge connector: all dynamic signals, static I/Os, 11 signal grounds, 5V power

**Remote Operation**
• Optional one-meter extender cable (JT 2131/47) permits remote siting without performance degradation

## Key Features

• Full TAP signal support for JTAG boundary-scan and in-system programming workflows
• Flash memory operation monitoring via dedicated Read/Busy input
• Static I/O lines for relay control and switch closure detection
• User-defined outputs enable custom control logic integration
• Modular form factor allows independent unit replacement

## Module Variants

**JT 2149/DAF**
• 28 measurement channels with integrated clock generator
• Extends digital boundary-scan with analog and frequency measurement capabilities

**JT 2149/MPV (-001)**
• 32 channels of DIOS (Digital I/O Synchronized); up to four units provide 128 total DIOS channels in QuadPod configuration
• 2 × 20-way 0.1″ IDC connectors for signal access
• Programmable SCIL (Scan Configurable Interface Logic) functions
• 40 MHz TCK frequency support

**JT 2149/eMPV**
• Extended DIOS connectivity via 0.1″ IDC connectors for both DIOS blocks and TAP signals
• 8-way SIL IDC connector for static I/O lines

## Compatibility & Integration

The JT2149 integrates into the JT2147 QuadPod system or functions as a standalone boundary-scan pod within custom test fixtures. Its modular architecture permits flexible multi-unit configurations for expanded I/O and measurement capability.
