The Keysight N2782B AC/DC Current Probe delivers simultaneous AC and DC current measurement from milliampere to 30 A RMS levels with DC to 50 MHz bandwidth. Its hybrid architecture combines Hall-effect sensing and AC current transformation, enabling flat frequency response and low insertion loss across the measurement range. The split-core design clips onto conductors without circuit interruption, while the 7 ns or less risetime captures fast transient events. Amplitude accuracy of ±1.0% ±10 mA and high signal-to-noise ratio make this probe suitable for precision current analysis in power electronics, motor drive characterization, and low-level load profiling. The probe outputs 0.1 V/A and connects via BNC plug directly to oscilloscope high-impedance inputs. Built-in demagnetize, zero adjust, and overload protect functions simplify field operation and extend probe life. External power supply required (e.g., N2779A for up to three probes). Handles wire sizes to 5 mm and input voltages to 300 V CAT1.
