The Keysight N8486AR is a waveguide thermocouple power sensor for average power measurement from 26.5 GHz to 40 GHz. An integrated EEPROM stores calibration factors and sensor-specific data, automatically loaded by compatible power meters for accurate, repeatable measurements without manual calibration entry. Power linearity is less than 1%, with excellent SWR performance and NIST traceability. The N8486AR replaces legacy 8480 Series sensors and suits demanding microwave and millimeter-wave applications in telecommunications, radar, and satellite communications.
