The Marconi IFR Aeroflex 2022 is a synthesized signal generator delivering precise RF signal generation from 10 kHz to 1.01 GHz. Built for development, production, and maintenance testing, it combines microprocessor control with comprehensive modulation capabilities—AM, FM, and PM—and dual-mode operation via manual front panel or GPIB remote control. Output spans -127 dBm to +10 dBm with 0.1 dB resolution and ±1 dB accuracy, maintained flat to ±1 dB across the entire frequency range. Frequency stability of 0.01%/°C and residual FM performance below 7 Hz RMS make it suited to demanding calibration and receiver test applications. The instrument accepts external frequency references and modulation inputs, integrating readily into automated test environments via IEEE 488-1978 GPIB.
