The Marconi IFR Aeroflex ATC-1400 is a microprocessor-based test set for comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of Air Traffic Control transponder and Distance Measuring Equipment avionics. Operate via front panel controls or remotely through IEEE-488-1978 GPIB for Automatic Test Equipment integration. With optional accessory units (T-1401, S-1403DL, SI-1404), the system extends to TACAN, Mode 4 IFF, and Mode S transponder testing.
