The Newport 8008 is an eight-bay modular mainframe controller that delivers precise, independent control of laser diodes across high-channel-count systems. It automatically detects installed modules and displays real-time system configuration on a large LCD screen. The intelligent processor enables robust data collection and remote control via GPIB/IEEE-488 and RS-232C interfaces, with supplied LabVIEW drivers for automated integration. It accommodates 8600C Series Combo LDD/TEC modules and 8500D Dual Output LDD modules, enabling users to control up to 16 lasers from a single chassis—ideal for DWDM systems, VCSEL arrays, and communication applications.
