The Newport 8016 is a modular mainframe controller designed for precise current and temperature regulation of multiple laser diodes in high-density applications including Dense WDM systems and 2-D VCSEL arrays. The system accepts interchangeable Laser Diode Driver (LDD), Temperature Controller (TEC), and combo LDD/TEC modules across eight or sixteen bays, with automatic module detection and LCD-based configuration display.
