The Newport 818-IS-1 is a universal fiber optic detector engineered for optical power measurement across visible and near-infrared wavelengths. It combines an integrating sphere design with dual-detector architecture to deliver ±2.5% accuracy and excellent temperature stability across diverse fiber types and connector formats. The detector accepts both connectorized fibers (FC, ST, LC, SC) via front-port adapters and bare fibers (PC and APC cleaved) through the rear port using the included FP3-FH1 holder. Calibrated to NIST traceable standards with calibration data embedded in the integral 8-pin mini-DIN connector module, it integrates directly with Newport legacy power meters and the Model 8800/8200 PTS-OPM platform via adapter cable.
