The BNC-2090A is a rack-mountable terminal block that provides structured signal connectivity between National Instruments E Series and M Series multifunction DAQ devices and external instrumentation. It simplifies wiring in laboratory and industrial environments while improving system noise performance through organized signal routing and passive signal conditioning capabilities.
Technical Specifications
Connectivity & Channels
• 22 BNC connectors for analog, digital, and timing signals
• Two 68-pin I/O connectors for DAQ device interfacing
• 16 analog input (AI) BNC connectors—configurable as 8 differential or 16 single-ended channels
• 2 analog output (AO) BNC connectors
• 1 analog programmable function input (APFI) BNC connector
• 1 general-purpose PFI BNC connector
• 2 customizable BNC connectors
• 8 digital I/Os via spring terminal block
• Spring terminal block for digital I/O and PFI connections
Signal Conditioning & Grounding
• Passive signal conditioning component locations included
• Configurable shield ground jumper (W1): 100 Ω to Digital Ground (D GND) or direct connection
• Factory default: 100 Ω resistive path reduces ground loop current and improves noise performance
• 68-pin connectors and metal case shield connected through W1 configuration
Power & Voltage Limits
Typical power consumption: 10 mA. Maximum input voltage: 42.4 Vpk or 60 VDC. Exceeding these limits risks damage to the accessory, connected devices, host computer, and potential electric shock hazard.
– Key Features
• Dual mounting configurations: rack or desktop with four adhesive rubber feet
• Compact footprint: 1.73 × 19 × 3.82 inches, 2 lbs
