The NI PCIe-8361 is a PCI Express x1 MXI-Express remote controller that bridges a host computer to a PXI Express chassis via a cabled interface. It enables transparent software control of PXI modules as if they were native PCI devices, eliminating the need for additional driver configuration. The device connects to a PXIe-8360 remote control module in the target chassis and sustains throughput up to 192 MB/s over a copper cable link extending to 7 meters.
