The NI PXI-8105 is an embedded controller for PXI and CompactPCI systems designed to execute demanding modular instrumentation and data acquisition workloads. Built around an Intel Core Duo T2500 dual-core processor running at 2.0 GHz with a 667 MHz front-side bus, it delivers simultaneous multitasking on the Intel 945GM Express chipset. The controller supports up to 4 GB of dual-channel 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM across two SO-DIMM sockets and includes either 30 GB or 60 GB storage depending on model variant. Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 provides DVI-I video output with included VGA adapter. Rich I/O includes four Hi-Speed USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, GPIB controller, RS-232 serial, parallel port (ECP/EPP), and ExpressCard/34 expansion slot for additional peripherals. Runs Windows XP Professional by default; compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows Vista. Occupies one system slot plus three controller expansion slots within a PXI chassis.
