The NI PXI-8108 is a high-performance embedded controller for PXI and CompactPCI systems, designed for demanding test, measurement, and data acquisition applications. Built around an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor running at 2.53 GHz with 6 MB L2 cache, it delivers dual-core performance in a compact form factor. The controller supports up to 4 GB of dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM and includes configurable storage options ranging from 80 GB SATA drives to solid-state alternatives up to 250 GB. A Mobile Intel GM45 Express chipset with integrated GPU provides video output via DVI-I connector, with dual-monitor capability available through additional adapters. Standard interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 2.0 ports, RS-232 serial, ECP/EPP parallel port, integrated GPIB controller, and an ExpressCard/34 slot for I/O expansion.
