Equipment info

The NI PXIe-4154 is a 2-channel programmable power supply module for battery simulation and characterization in PXI Express systems. It delivers high-accuracy sourcing and measurement for component, battery, and LED testing across aerospace, automotive, and consumer electronics applications. Channel 0 operates as a battery simulator with 0–6 V output and up to 3 A sourcing; Channel 1 functions as a charger simulator with 0–8 V output and up to 1.5 A sourcing. Both channels support two-quadrant operation (source/sink) with ultrafast transient response below 20 µs and recovery to ±20 mV within 45 µs. The module replicates real-world battery behavior including internal resistance, transient dynamics, and load-dependent voltage sag.
