The North Atlantic 225 is a digital phase angle voltmeter engineered for precise measurement and analysis of AC waveforms across signal and reference channels. It delivers simultaneous acquisition of voltage magnitude, phase angle, harmonic content, and distortion metrics—essential for characterizing complex AC signals in power systems, avionics, and industrial test environments.
Technical Specifications
Voltage measurement spans 10 mV to 1000 V RMS across six ranges, with maximum signal input of 500 V RMS (±400 VDC). Reference voltage operates from 0.2 V to 200 V RMS. The 4½-digit LED display resolves voltage to 0.01% full-range; phase angle displays on a 4-digit readout with 0.1° resolution across 0.0° to 360.0°. Voltmeter accuracy reaches 1%, while phase angle measurements achieve 0.25% accuracy.
Operating frequencies scale by measurement mode. Total mode operates 30 Hz to 100 kHz; other modes function 30 Hz to 32 kHz. Discrete frequency configurations support 400 Hz, 800 Hz, and 3.2 kHz. Alternative specifications cite 10 Hz to 100 kHz for voltmeter function and 30 Hz to 30 kHz for phase angle. Input impedance is 1 MΩ minimum on both signal and reference channels.
