The SPOT-2D is a silicon photodiode designed for precision position sensing and light detection across the UV, visible, and near-infrared spectrum. This bi-cell detector features two separate active areas on a common substrate, each measuring 1.3 mm × 2.5 mm (3.3 mm² per element) with a 0.127 mm gap, enabling nulling, centering, and position measuring applications where spot diameter exceeds cell spacing. Peak sensitivity occurs at 970 nm with responsivity of 0.65 A/W across the 350–1100 nm range.
