Equipment info

The Partlow MRC5000 is a microprocessor-based circular chart recorder with a 10-inch chart format, designed for precise industrial temperature monitoring and data logging. It delivers ±0.25% measurement accuracy and ±0.5% recording accuracy across one or two pen configurations. The unit features a 4-digit LED display, programmable keypad interface, and selectable chart speeds from 8 to 168 hours (7 days), with configurable scan rates of 1 or 3 scans per second.

The MRC5000 accepts universal sensor inputs including thermocouples (J, K, T, R, S), 3-wire RTD, mVDC, VDC, and mA/mV DC linear signals—all field-programmable without hardware changes. Output capability extends to four relay outputs (SPST or SPDT contacts rated 5A @ 115VAC resistive, with 230VAC and single-phase motor ratings available). Optional 4–20mA analog outputs and RS485 Modbus RTU serial communication are available. Programmable alarm outputs support up to two high/low limit alarms per channel.

Control modes include ON/OFF, alarm-based, PID, and manual operation, with optional profiling capability on the MRC7000 variant. The recorder operates from universal 90–264 VAC 50/60 Hz power (maximum 18VA), or optionally from 20–50 VDC/AC for low-power installations.

Physical design prioritizes compact panel integration: dimensions are 14″ H × 14″ W × 3.8″ D with a standard 12.7″ square cutout, 2.5″ panel depth, and 1.3″ front protrusion. The injection-molded Noryl enclosure supports NEMA 3 standard protection, with NEMA 4X optional. Panel or surface mounting accommodates tilts up to 30° fore/aft and 10° lateral from vertical. Disposable fiber-tipped pens (red, green) ship with the unit. Weight is 15 lbs (6.8 kg).
