The Ribbon/Performance Technologies PT-CPC358-11932 is an Octal Synchronous Serial Communications Processor built on the Motorola MPC8255 PowerQUICC II microprocessor running at 233 MHz. It delivers eight independent, programmable synchronous serial channels with electrical interface support for V.35, RS-530, RS-449, RS-422, and RS-232 equipment. Designed as a fully programmable communications subsystem, this processor operates in CompactPCI® systems as a peripheral or in PICMG® 2.16 chassis as a stand-alone communications platform.
