The Rohde & Schwarz APN62 is a synthesized audio frequency generator delivering precise signal generation across 1 Hz to 260 kHz with crystal accuracy and phase-continuous tuning. Output ranges from 50 µV to 20 Vrms with adjustable source impedance (10 Ω to 640 Ω), supporting balanced floating, balanced grounded, and unbalanced grounded configurations. The integrated output transformer spans 20 Hz to 25 kHz into 2 kΩ. Distortion remains below 0.05% across the audio band to 20 kHz and below 0.1% to 100 kHz, with typical performance of −80 dBc to 20 kHz. Frequency resolution reaches 0.1 Hz up to 20 kHz, then 1 Hz to 260 kHz. The APN62 generates sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth waveforms with independent sweep functions—frequency sweep, level sweep over 20 dB, and linear or logarithmic modes. Output levels display in V, dBV, dBu, or dBm with ±1.0 dB flatness and <1.2 dB attenuator error.
