The Rohde & Schwarz UPV Audio Analyzer is a standalone instrument integrating control PC and dual-channel balanced analog inputs for comprehensive audio measurement across analog and digital interfaces. Operating from DC/10 Hz to 250 kHz, it delivers frequency response accuracy of ±0.01 dB (±0.003 dB typ.) from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and supports multichannel FFT analysis with resolution to the mHz range and up to 256k selectable points in double precision. The analyzer measures frequency response, THD/THD+N, SINAD, modulation factor, DFD, DC voltage, phase, group delay, polarity, rub & buzz, and selective level across digital and analog domains with >170 dB dynamic range on digital interfaces. Its Windows-based graphical interface scales to display multiple measurement functions simultaneously, while dual-channel inputs accommodate phantom powering and optional eight-channel expansion (two R&S UPV-B48 options support up to 16 analog inputs). Level measurement accuracy reaches ±0.05 dB (±0.025 dB typ.) at 1 kHz sinewave with autoranging down to –100 dB + 2 µV full-scale. The platform integrates inherent distortion measurement via the R&S UPV-B1 option and applies post-FFT analysis for detailed distortion product evaluation.
