The Rohde & Schwarz URV55 Millivoltmeter delivers precise AC voltage, level, and power measurements across DC to 40 GHz using intelligent measuring heads from the URV5-Z series. Each head stores calibration data and temperature information, enabling automatic configuration and eliminating manual calibration steps. The instrument operates on a plug-and-play principle—simply connect a measuring head and begin measuring. Calibration offsets and frequency-response corrections apply instantly, ensuring high accuracy without user intervention.
The URV55 measures AC voltages from 200 µV to 1000 V with sensors spanning DC to 3 GHz, and RF power from 100 pW to 30 W across DC to 40 GHz. The modular URV5-Z series includes high-impedance voltage probes (URV5-Z7 for PCB measurements, URV5-Z1 DC probe for high-frequency circuits) and insertion units (URV5-Z2, URV5-Z4) for coaxial-line voltage measurements with minimal insertion loss. Compatible NRV-Z thermal power and diode sensors expand measurement capability. Optional plug-on dividers extend range and increase input impedance to minimize loading on the device under test.
