The Sorrento Networks GMMD(-B-G2-02) is a data multiplexer module for the GigaMux 3200 series that aggregates multiple lower-rate traffic signals onto single WDM wavelengths using DWDM and CWDM technologies. It delivers 2.5 Gbps line-rate performance with SFP-based client and line-side interfaces supporting Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SONET/SDH, and SAN protocols. The module effectively doubles fiber link transport capacity through wavelength multiplexing, enabling network expansion without requiring additional fiber infrastructure.
