The Spirent DLS400J is a digital line simulator that emulates telephony cable characteristics for comprehensive DSL equipment testing. Using passive discrete component networks (L, R, C), it reproduces real-world line conditions across ADSL, HDSL, T1, ISDN, and related technologies. The instrument supports hundreds of configurable cable segments and 28 preset ADSL test loops, with user-defined loop creation capability. Its passive design enables DC loop current passage and full bi-directional transmission simulation, making it ideal for validating transmission schemes using DMT, CAP, and 2B1Q line codes.
