The Spirent Smartbits LAN-3310A is a two-port Gigabit Ethernet module that generates and analyzes high-speed traffic for performance validation of network devices and infrastructure. It plugs into SMB6000B or SMB6000C chassis and uses GBIC interfaces for flexible fiber connectivity—supporting both multi-mode and single-mode transceivers. The module delivers full wire-rate traffic generation and analysis at 1000 Mbps, processing up to 1,448,095 frames per second across frame sizes from 40 to 16,384 bytes. It handles per-flow metrics for millions of IP flows and can simulate millions of IP addresses and servers simultaneously.
