The SYNRAD J48-1W is a compact RF-excited CO2 laser engineered for industrial marking, cutting, and engraving applications. Operating from a 30-32 VDC input at 7 A, this sealed laser integrates an RF power supply within its all-metal chassis, eliminating the need for external RF cable runs. The J48-1W delivers 8-10 W at 10.6 μm wavelength with excellent discharge stability and instantaneous power control via PWM modulation of the 45-50 MHz RF drive circuit. Its 4.8 mm bore diameter combines waveguide and free-space technologies for mode purity and simplified optical alignment. The square output aperture converges to a circular beam profile beyond approximately 1 meter with 4 mrad full-angle divergence. Available in air-cooled or water-cooled configurations, the laser suits overhead and gantry mounting due to its self-contained architecture. A 5-second interlock delay ensures safe operation. Extruded and welded aluminum construction provides thermal stability and mechanical durability in demanding production environments.
