Tektronix WVR7100 Multi-Standard Multi-Format Waveform Rasterizer

The Tektronix WVR7100 is a multi-standard waveform rasterizer designed for signal analysis and monitoring in broadcast, production, and post-production environments. It supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and analog composite video formats—spanning 480i/576i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p—with four 3G/HD/SD-SDI BNC inputs plus dual SDI and HDMI connectivity. The instrument delivers waveform display in Parade, Overlay, Timing, and Histogram modes; vectorscope analysis in Traditional, Diamond, and Split Diamond formats; and real-time rasterized video output. Advanced capabilities include eye pattern and jitter measurement (Option EYE/PHY with jitter filters from 10 Hz to 100 kHz), physical layer analysis (CPS), digital data error detection (DDE), cable length measurement, AFD detection, and frozen/black picture detection. Audio monitoring spans up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio and simultaneous 16-channel AES monitoring (Option AD/DDE). Digital audio inputs support sample rates of 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, and 96 kHz at 24-bit resolution via dual AES inputs (2 sets of 8 channels each). AES inputs are BNC-terminated, unbalanced, rated 0.2 V to 2 V p-p with return loss >30 dB relative to 75Ω from 0.1 to 6 MHz. Colorimetry tools include CIE charting, RGB and composite gamut monitoring, and Tektronix patented gamut display standards. LTC display and digital data word timing analysis complete the timing toolset.
