The Teledyne LeCroy RP4000-BROWSER is a 350 MHz browser tip accessory engineered for precision probing of surface-mount components and low-voltage DC signals on dense circuit boards. Designed exclusively for use with the Teledyne LeCroy RP4030 Active Voltage Rail Probe, this kit delivers three interchangeable browser tips that enable flexible attenuation configurations and direct oscilloscope connectivity via conventional transmission line methods.

Technical Specifications

• Bandwidth: 350 MHz
• Attenuation Settings: 1x (0 Ω), 10x (450 Ω), 20x (950 Ω)
• Input Impedance: 50 kΩ DC; ~50 Ω AC (transmission line mode)
• Dynamic Range: ±800 mV amplified signal (RP4030 probe)
• Connectors: MCX and U.FL interfaces; SMA to MCX extension cable included

– Key Features

• Three replaceable browser tips with integrated resistor networks for 1x, 10x, and 20x attenuation
• Dual-impedance design minimizes loading of device-under-test DC rails while maintaining AC signal fidelity
• Large offset capability centers DC rail voltage within oscilloscope display for noise-free small-signal observation
• ProBus interface integration with compatible Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes
• Supports both RP4030 active probe operation and standalone transmission line probing

– Typical Applications

• Power integrity characterization and voltage rail analysis
• Low-voltage DC signal acquisition with minimal device loading
• Power sequencing measurements in multi-rail systems
• Small-signal noise and ripple observation on supply rails

– Compatibility & Integration

The RP4000-BROWSER kit consists of one each 0 Ω, 450 Ω, and 950 Ω browser tip. Primary integration is with the RP4030 Active Voltage Rail Probe; 0 Ω tip operation optimizes RP4030 system performance. All three tips function as conventional transmission line probes when connected directly to 50 Ω DC oscilloscope inputs via SMA connectors. Compatible with Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes featuring ProBus connectivity and 50 Ω DC input channels.
