The Velonex 510 is a solid-state surge transient generator engineered to produce waveforms meeting ANSI/IEEE standard C37.90.1-1989 Surge Withstand Capability (SWC) characteristics. This fully shielded instrument generates bursts of sine waves at 1.25 MHz with minimum 6 µs duration, protected against momentary and sustained external shorts. Solid-state construction eliminates jitter and erratic performance while preventing extraneous signal radiation or conduction. Dual push-button activation on opposite sides ensures operator safety, with front-panel indicator light confirming high-voltage presence.
