Wavetek 9500-600

The Wavetek 9500-600 is a modular, high-performance calibrator engineered for precision calibration of electronic test instruments across DC and RF domains. Operating from 0.1 Hz to 600 MHz, it delivers leveled sine outputs from 4.44 mV to 5.560 V pk-pk (0.1 Hz–550 MHz) with ±1.5% amplitude accuracy at 50 kHz and flatness of ±1.5% to ±3% depending on frequency. The instrument generates low-distortion sine signals with 2nd harmonic suppression <-35 dBc and maintains frequency accuracy of ±12 ppm standard, improving to ±0.25 ppm with Option 100 high-stability crystal reference. Beyond sinusoids, the 9500-600 produces DC voltages to ±200 V (1 MΩ load) with ±0.025% + 25 µV accuracy, squarewaves to 100 kHz with amplitude to 200 V pk-pk (1 MΩ), and pulse outputs as fast as <150 ps rise time when paired with active head modules. Timing jitter remains ≤10 ps pk-pk; frequency deviation reaches ±11.2%. The mainframe architecture accepts optional output modules (9510, 9520, 9530) for expanded pulse and RF capabilities, enabling customization for evolving laboratory and service-center requirements. Reference inputs span 1–20 MHz; reference outputs at 1 MHz or 10 MHz exceed 1.15 V into 50 Ω.
